This Heritage Series roof is in Stayner, in Clearview Township. Standing seam, concealed fastener, continuous panels from ridge to eave. Two winters after we finished it we went back with the homeowner, walked the roof, and flew the drone over it. Everything we look for after two seasons — the seams, the eaves, the flashing at the dormers — was where we left it. That is the part you cannot see on the day the crew drives away.

The same as it did the day it went on. On a concealed-fastener roof there are no exposed screws to back out, so the things we check are the seams, the flashing where the dormers meet the field, and the eaves. Colour is the slow one — PVDF Kynar 500 is tested to hold its finish over decades, so two winters should show nothing at all. If a roof has moved, two winters of freeze-thaw is when it tells you.
Because we would rather find something at year two than year ten, and because a homeowner deciding on metal is not really asking how it looks new. We do this where the homeowner is happy to have us back.
